I’ve been working in digital marketing since 2010. Here’s how I got to where I am today.
THE STORY SO FAR
Rewind to 2009 and I’d just left university with a degree in Archaeology & History – straight into a global recession. Jobs were scarce but I landed a research role in recruitment for the 2011 Census – or so I thought. It turned out it was a marketing job in disguise. And I loved it.

​Ever since then I’ve continued working in digital marketing – both in start-ups and digital agencies before starting my own consultancy in 2017.
​
Nowadays, you’ll find me working on SEO campaigns for a range of clients from my home office in Exeter – either strategically advising them or getting the work done myself. ​​​​​​

THE DMU
I set up the Digital Marketing Union in 2019 to create a community for other ambitious independent marketers to chat and learn from one another. We’re 90 strong and talk every week.
THE WAY WITH WORDS
Launched back in 2018 a good friend and I joined forces up to create The Way With Words – a business focussed on specialist tone of voice guides for major brands.
